Seek Valve Leather For Aeolian Grand Player Organ
By Philip Jamison

I'm repairing an Aeolian Grand player organ. The pallet valves were recovered in sponge neoprene, and I'd like to return to the original felt and leather. I think they originally used a rather firm felt with a thin pouch leather.

I bought a 1/8" thick felt-covered leather from Columbia Organ Leathers, but this has a 1/16" leather glued on a 1/16" layer of felt. I'm not sure if this is flexible enough. Any suggestions as to the type of felt that should be used?
