Hi. I have a Chase & Baker pushup piano player along with 35 rolls
(most of which are Chase & Baker, too) that I would like to sell.
I rebuilt this unit 35 years ago but it's in need to doing it again.
Sadly, due to nerve damage I'm unable to do it myself. I used to do
player actions but I no longer have the dexterity needed, thanks to
the nerve issue.
The player had been done once before me and you can see where certain
small things weren't proper for the machine, like the screws. It's no
big deal. I did manage to recover the wind motor however since it was
so easy to get to on this.
It worked perfectly when I rebuilt it 35 years ago but sadly the cloth
is giving up although the pouches and valves still look pretty good.
I'd replace them anyway. The pneumatic cloth I used on the strikers is
getting pretty weak, though. I bought it from PPCo and was not happy
with it at all.
Anyway, I'd like to get $400 for it. The cabinet was refinished and is
still in good condition and this includes the 35 rolls (one is a test
roll). I appreciate any help you can convey my way or direct me to an
appropriate place. Where I live in northern NY state, there's not that
many people interested in such things, so it's difficult to sell it
here.
Thanks so much for your consideration.
