Well, I have to admit that my search for the particular design of
action that was originally installed in my piano has basically come
to a dead end. I have never seen a single piano (since about a year
and a half) that had the same kind of system in it. It seems as if
everybody in the 1910-15 period trashed their Steger players and went
nuts over the Standards and Autopianos.
I tried two times to (unsuccessfully) contact an individual in
Portland, Oregon, who had an Auto-Player with patent dates shown in
a not-very-good-quality picture on their post. My intent was to have
them send me a better photo of those patent dates. I never got any
response at all. They must have thought I came from Mars.
There were no patents which came close enough to resembling the same
design as mine.
If there is anyone, anywhere, that has _any_ documentation whatsoever
concerning the "1 Day Manufactured" (or so it seems to me) Steger
action, please send that documentation in electronic form to me, via
email.
Sincerely,
Luke Myers
