Player Piano International Shipping
By Gordon Stelter

Someone asked if it would make sense to remove the ivory-covered
keys from a vintage piano being shipped internationally, and have
them shipped separately, due to the restrictions on importing and
exporting ivory.

That is an idea whose extreme badness is without compare.
A well-known Atlanta piano dealer tried it with some instruments
he was importing from Europe, and was promptly thrown in jail.
