Happy New Year to everyone out there in MMD-land! We have an
interesting challenge at hand here at the Morris Museum: the Guinness
Collection Curator (Michele Marinelli) & I are gathering together
Ampico titles for a Springtime program which will celebrate the 10th
year of the Murtogh D. Guinness Gallery having opened.
One of Murtogh's favorite musical genres was ragtime, and we would
very much like to find if at all possible a few titles which he never
had the chance to acquire during his lifetime.
We're searching for these titles, several of them early and scarce,
plus a few that have already been recut by others in the past, so
anything you may be able to do to help us locate any of them for this
celebratory event would be greatly appreciated:
2203B (S-A) Hyacinth Rag, Botsford-Gumble, 1911
2366D (S-A) Isle d'Amour, Edwards, 1913
2641C (S-A) That Spanish Rag, Seymour Furth, 1910
52603D Zu Zu Rag, Fischer, 1916
54174E or 54175 Charleston Rag, Blake, 1899
57533F A Classical Spasm, Harry Thomas, 1917
58554H The Crap Shooters - Negro Dance, Eastwood Lane, 1919
Thanks & all best,
