Back in the spring of 2015 I launched a Kickstarter project to
raise £2000 to bring to life a short film I had been researching
about musical boxes. I worked closely with the Musical Box Society
of Great Britain, filmed in the Reuge Factory in Switzerland, and
"Automatic Dreams" was completed in Autumn 2015 and went on to screen
at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. In December 2015
it was the subject of a BBC Europe news article:

And most recently, Automatic Dreams has been nominated for Best
Documentary at the London Short Film Festival 2017! This is actually
the third year running I've been nominated as a director, so fingers
are crossed that this could be a winning year!
Automatic Dreams will screen at Picturehouse Central, London at 6:30 p.m.
on Monday 9th January 2017. If you would like to join me you can
purchase tickets here:

Automatic Dreams will be the opening film of the "Night of the Living
Docs" screening, followed by eight other short documentaries (more info
in the link above). The total running time of all the films is 88 mins.
I will be there too and will be sticking around to chat afterwards.
I understand most of you aren't located in London, but I wanted to
extend the invite to the community at MMD, as the film would not have
been possible without your support and generosity. It was here that
I launched the Kickstarter back in 2015 -- so I thank you all again!
I will keep you updated with award news. The winner of "Best
Documentary" will be announced on January 14th.
Warmest regards,
Florence Kennard
