MIDI File Player Program for Laptop Computer
By Robert McFeeters
In response to Wayne Finger's post: I suspect that there are several
MIDI players which will work for you. Your challenge may be to get
a Bluetooth receiving unit that can keep up with all the signals and
not lose any of them.
I have seen the MIDI version for the Violano, and the YouTube video
showed it working very well. I use a wireless system with my computer
for my Pianocorder. Mark Fontana developed a very dependable system
using Winamp 3 as the MIDI program and a wireless Bluetooth transmitter.
It can be used with most any device and he has detailed instructions
for easy setup. You can order directly from Mark at this link:

Winamp 3 is basically the same as Van Basco's program and Van Basco's
will work on devices other than a computer. (Winamp works _only_ with
computers).
Wayne, you may also want to try this unit for your violin. Mark can
give you any technical information you might need. I bought Mark's
original RCA Lyra system six years ago and it has been functioning
flawlessly. It allows me to play files from most other digital player
units (PianoDisc, Disklavier, Concert Master, Pianomation etc.)
