VCI Anti-corrosion Sleeves for Musical Box Discs
By Paul Mellor

Dear MMD readers, Following on from my earlier email [161025
MMDigest] I now have a few people clubbing together, so the cost
has come down (currently £12 per sleeve plus postage and packing).
If some more people want to order long term anti-rust storage sleeves
for 19-5/8" discs, then do let me know please, as this will reduce the
cost per sleeve down further. I will place an order in the next 14
days, so please email me at paul.mellor@psvets.com.geentroep [delete
".geentroep" to reply].

A couple more things to explain:

1) The VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) film component is the new
generation. These are health safe and eco-safe (no heavy metals, no
nitrates, no amines etc). The new generation VCI films are approved
by international authorities (including the stringent US Food and Drug
Administration), and amazingly, have even been used in mixed packagings
for food. I have young children so I wanted something safe but
effective at preventing rust.

2) The cardboard folder will have an "envelope lid" seal (effectively
hiding the VCI film within); this provides a good aesthetic appearance
to the whole thing.

3) The Polyphon label is in a "vintage gold" printed directly onto
the sleeve (see new close up image of the label). The label is sized
nicely at 290 mm diameter on 520 x 520 mm sleeves.

Best regards,

Paul Mellor
