Once again looking at the For Sale on the Internet Items from the
161019 MMDigest, http://www.mmdigest.com/ForSaleOnTheInternet.html
* Early Story & Clark player piano -- $200 OBO in the Pittsburgh, PA,
area. It's not that "early" mid teens I think, nice wood, small bench
(real player bench?)!
* Fischer player piano, electrified -- Here's a dreamer in the
Rochester, NY, area, "I am asking $8,999 which includes almost 1,000
piano rolls in good condition. Need a quick sale; Fischer player piano
that is electrified and totally rebuilt and refinished". The finish
does look beautiful, case has some interesting trim and though the
picture is lousy, looks like it might be a reproducer.
* Ellwood player piano -- For $500 in the Syracuse, NY, area, appears
to be an early 'teens upright with 75 rolls, most look older.
* Shaw player piano -- free, in Pittsburgh, PA, area. "Has been
refinished, had new keys installed, and includes all the new parts to
restore it back to its original condition." Interesting description!
* Chein PianoLodeon toy player piano -- In the Pittsburgh, PA, area,
probably the most unique "thing" in this group, a tiny toy piano with
a roll player, no rolls and some damage on one side, but for $25!
* 1919 Apollo baby grand player piano -- for $800, in the Akron/Canton
(Ohio?) area, a small (61") grand with bench and roll cabinet and 95
rolls; however, it has been "antiqued" so you may want to refinish it!
* Weber (Great Britain) Pianola Duo-Art player piano -- Listing for
$150 in the Orlando FL area, typical small British upright, maybe of
1929, "The player is not functioning currently but can be easily
fixed." Riiight! Looks mostly untouched inside except for some new
tubing. The finish is excellent, interior is very clean.
* 1970s Duo-Art player piano with Christmas rolls -- For $100 OBO,
in Wilmington, NC, area. Well-cared for, pecan finish spinet piano
(family is moving on). Pass the word on, save a piano!
