Several years ago I acquired a 1923 Kimball player piano, which was
rebuilt in 1993 by Fred Scoles of Oswego, New York. While I enjoyed
it for many years, I need to find a new home for it.
Mr. Scoles directed me to MMDigest as a possible place to attract the
attention of someone who would value it. I have advertised it locally,
but people seem to think they can load it onto the back of a pick-up
truck, and I refuse to allow that.
I was hoping that one of your members would be interested enough to
incur the cost of moving it. I am not asking for compensation, but
would need to know that it was being moved safely.
Mr. Scoles stated that "the basic Kimball brand pianos which are not
players were mostly basic/economy "MidWest" home/practice piano, but
your player was Kimball's best player made, with the expression buttons
that no other brand provided."
I have attached photographs of the piano itself, as well as the upper
and lower assemblies. If anyone is interested in the piano, they can
contact me at the email address below. Thank you so much!
