The National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution,
Washington, DC, is currently working on a monumental clock which has a
music box incorporated into it. We believe that the clock construction
was finished in 1893. The music box is marked "Switzerland" and plays
eight tunes. Unfortunately, the lid is missing so we do not know what
the songs are.
We are asking if anyone would be able to identify what the names of the
tunes are and any other information about them. Thank you in advance
for your help.
