Dear Everyone, I have a friend with what seems to be a "Straube"
music store stencil piano. (The name on the key cover and removable
piece on the plate is "Noble", but the early style "Standard",
double-valve action is rubber-stamped "Straube".)
One of the raised, vertical trim pieces is missing from the edge of
its spool-box door, where they meet when closed. The opening in the
face of the top front panel of the piano, that allows access to the
spool-box, measures vertically at 10" there, so any pieces from the
edges of spool-box doors that are at least that tall (usually held on
with brads and glue, and easily pried off) would be usable. (He'll
cut down any that are larger, to fit.)
If you have a pair of these in your junk pile (he'd want both, so
they'd match) that you wouldn't mind parting with, please contact me.
Also please contact me if you can spare the little knobs that go into
spool-box doors, and the two that are on the far ends of the top front
panel of pianos, to pull on when wanting to lean it outward at the
bottom.
Thanks!
