Restoring Brittle Piano Rolls
By Ronald Hardwig

Has any one tried to restore old piano rolls where the paper has
gotten brittle? While they are good for one-time playing, when they
reroll they normally tear on the edges. I have been thinking about
using some kind of paint to reinforce them before I try to play them.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have just recently picked up a few hundred old rolls that I know
are irreplaceable and would like to salvage them.
