Dear MMDers, After much pressure and lots of asks from people,
I have finally relented and will be coming back directing regular
auctions of Mechanical Music, Technical Apparatus and Scientific
Instruments.
I really enjoyed the mechanical music buzz at both Christies and
Bonhams doing the sales there, but going forward the sales will be
exactly the same format and size at the new spot in the UK at C & T
Auctioneers. I will be directing a minimum of two sales per year,
most likely three.
The first sale will be on the 2nd November, held at the Spa Hotel,
Royal Tunbridge Wells, with viewing held over two days and an
opportunity of staying at the hotel between the views and auction
the night before.
From cylinder and disc musical boxes, virtue, automata, singing birds,
early wireless and television and slot machines through to microscopes,
globes, telescopes, dials and photography, it'll be the same social
gathering friendly affair we all remember. There's nothing like a room
full of friends, contacts and above all, lots to view, hear, see and
examine.
For more information, to consign (deadline 30th September), or for
a catch-up chat, feel free to call or email me; total discretion and
attention is assured. My contact information is below.
Mechanical Music in the UK and Europe is about to become busier!
