Hello, I am reaching into a field I know very little about, that is,
antique player piano parts. I am writing this to reach out to folks
that would know more than I.
I bought an old Foster and Co. player piano with the intention of
gutting it to use the shell for a digital piano. I recently removed
the keys, action and strings. The mechanical player action was removed
before I obtained the piano but I have all the parts associated with
the action.
It would seem to be foolish to send the parts to a landfill. I'm not
looking to reap a profit, but am looking for a path to reach out to
people that may have a use for said parts.
Am I wasting my time or would I expect that someone out there might
want this stuff? Can anyone advise me on this?
Thank you.
