On Saturday, 24th September, from 10:30 a.m., I am running a one-day
London and Home Counties Group meeting for the Musical Box Society of
Great Britain at The Musical Museum at Brentford, London.

This is very close to Kew Gardens and The Steam Museum is along the
block, so you could make a weekend of it as there is a travel-lodge in
the same street.
The cost of the day is £6 to members (a standard one-hour tour
costs £10 a head) or £10 to non-members who will be most welcome. As
membership secretary I am happy for people to join on the day although
it would help if you let me know in advance so I can bring appropriate
material with me for you.
It is hoped that attendees will buy their lunch in the museum café
which is next to our meeting room upstairs and has views over the River
Thames.
We will start at 10:30 a.m. and run the meeting until early afternoon,
then we will have a tour around the museum after that. It is hoped the
newly renovated Aeolian pipe organ will be played as well as the
Wurlitzer cinema organ.
If you wish to bring an instrument to play and talk about do please
contact me so I can make arrangements.
The life in the museum can take a grand piano. If you want to bring
a computer memory stick for a talk and need the projector and/or museum
laptop please let me know in advance.
I would appreciate knowing how many are coming in advance for seating
arrangements, even if you do not know until the day before.
Thanks,
Kevin McElhone - MBSGB
