MBSI 1985 Band Organ Rally in Fremont, Ohio
By Tim Wagner
Several weeks ago, my quest for obtaining a printed program from
the 1985 MBSI Mid-Am Chapter Band Organ Rally in Fremont, Ohio, was
responded to by many friendly and generous MMD'ers.
Robert Couser kindly lent me his copy of the program to scan, along
with an organ brochure from 'De Troubadoer', a Carl Frei organ present
at the rally. Bob Conant kindly scanned a handout of 'Apollonia' for
me, a 101-key Mortier/DeCap dance organ which performed at the rally.
Fred Dahlinger, Jr., author of the printed rally program, has kindly
given permission to share the scan of the program with MMD.
I am therefore uploading a file of the rally program, along with files
from the two instruments mentioned. With a roster of 44 small organs
and 71 large organs, the 1985 MBSI Mid-Am rally stands as the largest
band organ rally ever held in the USA. Thank you to all who reached
out to help share info regarding "The Happiest Music on Earth".
Cheers, Tim Wagner
