Bursens Dance Organ in Northern California
By Robbie Rhodes

In the 1970s Ray Siou had a Bursens (or Arburo) dance organ in his
shop in Oakland, California. MMDer Ray Bauer recalls it playing for
several hours as Siou auditioned a big stack of recently recut Arburo
rolls.

The organ was very much like one currently offered for sale in New
Orleans [Ref. 1] except Siou's organ had no accordion and no side
chests. The spool box was centered in the middle of the case, below
the accordion location.
