Speaking of "The Oceana Roll," which Christine Robinson gave links to
several renditions of in the 16.07.19 MMD, I was captivated by Beatrice
Kay's performance of that song. (How many people here remember that
famous vaudeville singer?) You can hear her sing it today on YouTube:

I immediately wanted to have the late Rich Olsen arrange it for me to
include on the next Wurlitzer 165 roll that I issued through Play-Rite
but, alas, Rich died before it could happen. Then Mikey Mills did
include it on his roll 6860, along with another tune I suggested,
"Schneidige Truppe," by Julius Lehnhardt.
Still, it makes me sad to think of what some talented people could have
accomplished, but for the intervention of Fate. So, CARPE DIEM!
