Hi MMD'ers, Since COAA doesn't have any rallies this year really close
to Rochester, New York, Dan Wilke and I are planning a small, informal
rally nearby. It will be part of the annual "Olcott Days" festival in
Olcott Beach, New York. That's about 10 miles north of Lockport, right
on Lake Ontario, between Rochester and Buffalo. We've had a couple of
very nice COAA rallies there in the past.
The rally will be on Saturday, the 30th of July, 2016, from a little
before noon until around 5 P.M. They have a car rally with live music
after that. After the rally, we'll go over to the park and have a
picnic. Looks like we'll have half a dozen people bringing a number of
small hand organs and maybe a couple larger carousel organs in trailers
-- plus the organ on the carousel in the park.
You're invited to come and listen to the music (and chat) and we'd love
to have you bring an instrument to play. If you don't have your own
street organ, bring another mechanical instrument, like an organette.
Drop me a note if you're interested. No formal registration is
required but we need to plan for food, etc. And it's free. Dan and
I will supply the hot dogs and related stuff but it would be nice if
you could bring something to pass. Let us know.
Regards,
