A great question -- I guess a lot depends on house size and
acoustics, but these organs were not intended for domestic in-house
use. Before I had a trailer built for my Wurlitzer 125 organ, it
sat in the ballroom of my house. When played I enjoyed it seated
on the outside patio!
More to your point of stopping certain voices from speaking. In
the case of a Style 125 Wurlitzer, the trumpets _are_ the solo melody
voice. If you turn them off the main point of the music is lost,
leaving you with just the accompaniment and harmony voices.
I know the Style 105 and the 125 play the same paper music roll,
but the tracker scale is vastly different for each organ.
Musically yours,
