I have a Melville Clark Apollo upright player that obviously spent much
of its life in a basement with a coal fired furnace, and the entire
inside components are covered in black soot and so badly dried out that
every part of the piano action needs replacing.
I am in need of the piano action mostly, but maybe also the player
action. I imagine the player action is as bad, but most of it will be
rebuilt anyway, so I may get by with the one I have. Does anyone out
there have one of these players that is not destined to be rebuilt,
but is willing to give its parts to another player?
The case on mine is oak, and is in very nice condition. I would like
to get this player up and running, but the piano action is just too far
gone to make it economically feasible. I am in Southern California.
Thanks in advance,
Richard Ingram
