For sale: 1921 Franklin upright Ampico, once a part of the Deansboro
Musical Museum Collection (decal in spoolbox). Work has been done on
the player mechanism over the years. Most recently the two equalizers
have been recovered and the stack valve blocks have been gone over.
The original gray tubing has been replaced with new black tubing. The
sustain pneumatic needs to be recovered as well as the bass crescendo
unit. The expression units will need some attention as well as the
On/Off switch. The original glass door is intact, although the upper
rail is missing. One front caster is also missing.
The piano has been stripped and refinished (it looks fine) and an
original "Franklin" decal comes with the piano. The piano does come
with some Ampico rolls. A piano stool (top painted red) is included.
The piano is on the first floor and is easy to move onto the front
porch. There are four steps onto the sidewalk, or a truck can back up
to the front stairs and it would easily load from there.
The location is Lancaster, New York, a suburb of Buffalo, New York.
Price $650. (Need to sell, price is negotiable). Call Tom at
