Organ enthusiasts in the south of England are reminded that the
Second Winchester Organ Festival will take place on Bank Holiday,
Monday, 2nd May, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free, expanded event, will
be opened by the Dean of Winchester Cathedral and will be featuring
Paul Kirrage's 78 keyless Ruth & Söhn, Brian Hunt's 52 keyless
Alfred Bruder, Graham Spencer's 52 key Dutch street organ 'Harlekijn',
Richard Evans' 49 key Marenghi Ideal Orchestre, and (new this year)
Andrew Leach's 48 keyless William Bruder Söhn model 79 fairground
organ.
16 smaller organs will also be playing, owned by members of the
Fairground Organ Preservation Society, British Organ Grinders
Association, Mechanical Organ Owners Society and the Musical Box
Society of Great Britain.
Members of MBSGB are also mounting a display of musical boxes and
organettes in the Cathedral's Undercroft. Further information can
