Hello, I am working on using an "X Carve" CNC to make music rolls,
using MIDIBoek to draw the pages, then put them into EASEL, the CNC
program, then allow the machine to carve out the pages. It's multiple
steps, but we will see how it works. Advantages: Arduino-based, works
on any PC or laptop.
MIDIBoek translates any MIDI file to a pictorial image which is then
printable on any sheet printer. I am using register pins from my old
offset negative processing days (whoever thought I would use that
again!). It will do only one page at a time, so it will have to be
monitored from time to time, but I believe will be easier and more
accurate that hand punching -- the CNC is accurate to .05 mm.
Tell me if you are interested.
God Bless,
Martin Gutzmer
