Average Time to Rebuild a Player Piano
By Walter Gerber

Wow, what a storm; to be locked in dialog with my hero, what an honor!
I certainly agree with what Mr. Reblitz is saying; the last glued-stack
Gulbransen cost me 650 hours. The different standard stacks do indeed
take different times. My favorite was the Story and Clark upright with
full valve travel accomplished externally. That was a sweetheart!

In reality there is no fixed time you can set to do the job. Those who
are thinking of taking on of these projects should have an idea of what
they are getting into. "Murphy" sits on my bench.

My discussion is intended to provide guidelines, not absolutes.

Walt Gerber
