Average Time to Rebuild a Player Piano

I'm sorry to disappoint other restorers -- a good restoration of a
player action should take no more than six days; that is my average.
The problem is most restorers don't make their own parts and most
reuse worn-out bushes. This is a very common problem in Australia.
I myself manufacture my own parts and manufacture my own non-rusting
bass strings.
I know for a fact that most piano people in Australia know very little
about rebuilding pianos and players. Also, most of them won't know
how to make a set of dampers. I was fortunate to learn from a true
gentleman in Sydney; alas, he is not with us anymore.
I hope the piano trade in the USA isn't as ego-filled as the Australian
trade is.
