New Ampico B Transmission Brake Drums
By Thomas Binnall

Too late -- the brake drums are all finished. I'm puzzled that Bob
Streicher (my sincere apology for the incorrect spelling in my previous
email) used aluminum for one drum, but made the other solid brass.

If anyone sprays silicone around pianos, say on a caster, it will wind
up in the pin block. I think the issue isn't with the aluminum, but
with a contaminated brake belt.

I will make the brake drums out of 'Unobtainium' if that's what anyone
wants; I'm here to please. If you should decide to order, expect a new
figure reflecting material costs.
