QRS 2256 "Snakes Hips" Played by Thomas Waller
By Jeffrey Borinsky

I have a copy of "Snake Hips", recorded by Thomas "Fats" Waller
on QRS Q-108, originally on QRS 2256. There are lyrics printed
on the roll but I can't find any reference to them on-line.

There's this sheet music cover which is probably for the same
piece: http://www.streetswing.com/histmain/z5snake1.htm

Can anyone shed any light on whether the lyrics are original,
added by QRS or some other explanation?

Jeffrey Borinsky

[ "Snakes Hips - Jungle Jazz", words and music by Spencer Williams,
[ (C) Mar. 23, 1923 Leo Feist Inc., New York.
[ The title is often confused with a dance called "Snake Hips".
