Piano Roll Repair Table for Nickelodeon Rolls
By Tom Hutchinson

Hi MMD, I want to sincerely thank Ed Gaida and John Del Carlo for
their testimonials. I am always amazed that with over 140 sold we have
never had a complaint. Several customers have offered suggestions and
these have been incorporated into the design or the instructions. But
there is more to come.

The machinist and I have been working with Glenn Thomas on designs
that would incorporate attachments that would allow repair of 10-tune
nickelodeon rolls. My machinist, Kelly Adams, who helped design the
first table, and I have been working with materials, chucks, and photos
that Glenn sent for study.

One of the major concerns is keeping the cost down. We have considered
many materials from which to make the flanges. We are closing in on
a flange design for the feed chucks which will accommodate four types
of rolls: "G", "A", "4X" and "O". This will cover a large percentage
of rolls needing repair. We are aware that there are many other types
-- all the Wurlitzer's and several others -- but we have decided to
approach the problems one at a time.

By the way, there is still one table remaining of the three I received
recently. Kelly told me this morning he has supplies available to make
several more.

Thanks again for all your support.
