I have used cyanoacrylate glue on things that I wanted to get
a quick bond on, but I notice that almost always the glue drips
onto my fingers even if I'm not trying to get it onto them.
Once, when I was using a brand called "The Last Glue", some of it
spilled onto my thumb and index finger, and I (stupidly) tried to
rub my fingers together to try and get it off. That glue stuck my
two fingers together quite firmly, and it took a lot of effort to
get my fingers unstuck.
Don't expect cyanoacrylate to dry slowly. I consider it utterly
useless if a glue is needed that will stay workable for the time
that one might be away from the specific gluing project.
Cyanoacrylate will grab and rip away the glued material if one
decides that "it wasn't the right kind of glue." It will also make
the glued portion incredibly brittle.
Unless one wants to get their hands plastered over with something
that is "the only solution", as some individuals label cyanoacrylate,
or wants to bond (and make stay bonded) two materials that were not
previously ever together, use normal hide glue or something that
doesn't make gluing things together a nightmare.
