Discussion groups tend to "die out". Remember the Rollscanners Group
on Yahoo? If you don't, you are probably not alone. There has not
been a post to that group since June 2014 and before that there was a
two year absence of any activity. All emails to the links, including
membership, are answered with a terse reply that your membership has
been rejected. I was a member during the formation days in 2001 when
in June of that year there were 237 posts.
Using a social media site for discussion of a specific subject, unless,
of course, it is whether or not you put milk on your corn crunchies that
morning, or whether you simply adore (fill in the blank with anything)
is nothing short of ludicrous.
The MMD Archives are a treasure which I use frequently. If I have
a question about rollscanning and I am s******, unless I look at the
MMD Archives!
If it isn't broken, don't fix it. Share your personal lives with the
world, if that is your wish, but leave an established institution which
has served a couple of generations quite well in its present form,
alone.
