Ed Chaban has an interesting point regarding a forum thread-based
structure. A system similar to reddit.com would be ideal! I wrote
to the MMD regarding the suggestion of adding a forum feature as a
supplement to the emailed digest. See

As a member of a group on Facebook called "Player Piano Talk",
( https://www.facebook.com/groups/21475025830/ ) there has actually
been a surge of activity, especially among new younger enthusiasts
and those wanting to find out about how to get an old player working
again. Along with Andrew Barrett, I'm also a moderator of another
Facebook group called simply, "Free pianos on Craigslist" chock full
of interesting instruments for the taking (player and non-player).
I find that even on Facebook it's a personal approach to conversation;
someone posts a comment, you reply, that's it! No waiting for responses
the next day.
For the most part, there seems to be very little spam and if
encountered is deleted quickly by moderators, and the discussions
usually remain respectful. Sometimes I know personally I don't feel
I have a post "worthy" of submission or of any benefit of the MMD,
and I can get a quick answer by posting direct to Player Piano Talk.
Just my opinion!
