The link with the picture of the musical chair says there is no music
box with the chair, yet the writer gives a number on the musical
movement. I'm confused!
While not commonly found, the musical chairs were more of a decorative
accent in a room than a functional piece. The one in the eBay ad link
is one of the more 'crudely' made pieces that I've seen -- more of a
'country house' chair then a 'elegant stately house' chair. They were
predominantly made in the late 1880s and early 1900s. The condition of
the chair in the link photo is not very good, with minimal inlay,
damaged inlay, warping, etc.
I don't think MMD is a place to start doing 'free appraisals'; the time
to ask what something might be worth is _before_ you buy it, not after!
