Simplex Automatic Roll Tracking Mechanism

I really like Gilles' solution.  What I use looks very much like what
A C Gilbert used to string their [toy] crane cars, which is kind of
a turnabout as I use player piano note pneumatic cloth to cover their
smoke unit bellows.

Since I couldn't find any multi-strand cord I used what I could find,
but now I know about the radio tuner cord I've got a whole new source
to explore.  Thanks!
