Puccini and the Music Boxes
By Jere Ryder

Holiday Greetings to all! If you hadn't already seen the article about
this mechanical music related, international, musicological discovery,
please do so over the next couple months. It's a clear example of how
a 150-year-old cylinder musical box, can hold the key to a better
understanding of Puccini and his Madame Butterfly!

W. Anthony Sheppard's article, "Puccini and the Music Boxes," has
been published in the Journal of the Royal Musical Association. The
publisher selected the article to be available "free access" worldwide
until February 2016.
