I recently saw an Otto Accordion, manufactured by the Miner Co.
It was not operational, so I was unable to hear it, but it looks
interesting. After some time searching the Internet and even
contacting the Miner Company, I was unable to find any videos of
this thing playing. A review of the MMD Archives only had discussions
about the plastic unit valves and apparently low grade pneumatic cloth
used on pneumatics.
Does anyone out there have an operational Otto Accordion? Are the unit
valves repairable? I have heard examples of automatic harps, banjos,
and marimbas which, to me, were all nice ideas, but failures. Is this
the same?
Thanks,
