That seal is not an original seal on your Duo-Art roll.  Since
I have always hated rubber bands placed on rolls, as they damage
the rolls, when I sold rolls on my piano roll auction I copied an
original Green roll label from an Ampico roll and made copies and
put them on all rolls that sold on my roll auctions.  I also used
the same label when I did recuts of rolls.

In all the years of collecting, I have never seen a paper seal on
a Duo-Art roll and don't know if they ever made any or not.  It is
quite common to run across Ampico rolls with original seals still
intact.  I have also seen a few QRS rolls with original seals as
well.  Has anyone out there ever seen a paper seal from either
a Duo-Art roll or a Welte roll?  I would love to see a sample.
