For sale: a Canadian Weber upright piano (not to be confused with
the US made Weber) of circa 1921. The piano has been refinished and
rebuilt with new hammers and dampers and new strings (rescaled).
The player action is a Welte Licensee, also completely rebuilt. It is
working well at the moment except that the motor starter switch needs
attention. Included is a spare motor which will need some modification
to the mount before it can be fitted, or maybe the starter in the spare
can be installed in the original motor.
Included in the deal are a piano lamp (modern), a bench (not a match
for the piano), two roll cabinets, approximately 200 rolls of mostly
Welte Licensee (both modern recuts and 1920s rolls), a few 88-note
rolls a fairly complete set of test rolls for Welte, Ampico A and B
and Duo-Art.
I would like to sell the above as a package deal at a bargain price of
$500 US, to pick up at my home in Ottawa. There are four steps down
from my front porch to street level. The piano is on the main floor.
