On 12th and 13th September 2015 in the beautiful Longiano (FC),
Italy, there will be the 11th edition of the International Festival
of Ancient Barrel Organs, unique in Italy, which will transform the
old town in a large open-air theater where music and magic visions
will transport visitors on a journey through the nineteenth century.
Longiano it will be populated by about a hundred musicians from
eight European countries - Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, England,
Slovenia, Czech Republic, Switzerland - who with their precious
antique mechanical musical instruments enliven a party out of time,
with music, dance, theater.
We remind the most famous artists of the 2015 Festival:
From Germany: Mr. and Mrs. Biermann, the most important players in
sync that have amazed the audience of Longiano in previous years
and that you can listen to on Saturday and Sunday at 6.30 p.m.
at the Collegiate St. Christopher. From Switzerland: Peter Rohrer,
owner of a famous museum sector in Basel. From France: Christian
Fournier, manufacturer of large organs for show. From England:
Alison Biden, President of the English Association MBSGB.
From Belgium: René Dubois, an important collector of mechanical
musical instruments. From Slovenia: Rasko Tepina, founder of
Association of Musicians, recognized by the European Community.
From Czech Republic: Henri Noubel, editor for leading trade
publications. And the participation of the Company Italento, that
will make us dream thanks to their show, famous throughout Europe.
The Festival is organized by AMMI -- Association of Mechanical Music
-- together with the town of Longiano. The event is free and open to
the public.
