Hi All, Well, using the free CAD program from http://www.eMachineShop.com
I finished the files for the small pneumatic jig, like the one
Player Piano Company (PPCo) sold for years, and sent them off to
have the parts manufactured.
The pneumatic jig was originally designed by Durrell Armstrong to
aid novices and professionals in the recovering of small bellows,
or striker pneumatics. Today the parts arrived and the jig is
once again available for sale at Player-Care:
http://www.player-care.com/resale.html#jig
The cost is $28.50, which is only $3.50 more than what PPCo sold
them for in 1995. Since these parts were made with a CNC machine, the
edges are neat, the two parts are identical in size, and the finish is
beautiful. Can you tell I feel a tiny bit like a proud papa! ;-)
Musically,
John A Tuttle
