It has been announced that Standard Amusements has been awarded the
contract to take over operation of Rye Playland next season (see my
posting to the 150817 MMDigest).  But I may well be wrong in stating
that current Playland employees and management will be terminated.
People in the know are apparently not ready to release details about
how the change in management will be handled and, most importantly,
whether employees will be on the contractor's payroll or on the
county's as far as pay and benefits go.
