Of the seventeen unidentified tunes on Wurlitzer 165 band organ
rolls that were listed in the Sound Files section of my online 165
catalog, all but four have now been positively identified.  It has
taken forty-five years and work by countless people, but I may yet
live to see the last four identified.

When I first tackled the job of getting the unknowns pinned down,
there were more than seventeen, perhaps twice or three times that
number.  Back then in the pre-Internet days, I enlisted the expertise
of 78 rpm record collectors, sending them cassette recordings of the
unknowns.  When my website went up, I switched to using that medium
because, although the results come more slowly, the method is cheaper.
