The Kingsport Carousel opened on July 10, 2015.  It is a community
build with over 300 volunteers to carve and paint new animals and
restore a 1956 Herschell Carousel.  In addition, a Johnson 105
band organ was purchased from the Johnson Organ Company with the
modifications of adding a glockenspiel and MIDI control.  (Note:
It still can play the Style 125 paper music rolls).

The project was the inspiration of Gale Joh, who grew up in Binghamton,
New York, the 'Carousel Capital of the World'.  The project took six
