Seek Reiterating Valve Diagram
By John Hutchison

Hello, I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a
diagram of a reiterating valve. I am most interested in the type used
in street organs where a drum for example may be repetitively fired to
cause a drum roll.

Thanking you in advance,
John Hutchison

[ John told me later that he enjoys experimenting while building
[ automata, "mainly singing birds as wall sculptures," and he wants
[ to mimic the fast repetitive sounds that some birds make. Since
[ efficiency is not a problem with this sort of automaton, other
[ devices that modulate air flow might be used, for example, the
[ rotary interrupter of a siren, or a knife valve modulator of a
[ small pipe organ tremulant. -- Robbie
