The Future of Mechanical Music
By Al Menashe

I would not give up on the next generation. I am a boomer, but
I did not start my collection until I was in my 50s. Most of my
fellow collectors in Portland were also in their 50s or 60s when
they got started.

You have to have time and money for this hobby and that usually
comes with retirement. I was 66 when I bought my Violano. Hopefully,
when we croak there will be another generation that will be ready to
appreciate our stuff.
