To all friends that have known Wolfgang Schwepee over the years of
mechanical music, I was informed of his passing away at 4:43 PM on
June 10th, 2015.
Wolfgang had been a buyer and seller for some thirty-plus years of
all mechanical music instruments -- organs, music boxes, orchestrions
and violin machines -- plus numerous other collectables like cars,
etc. I knew him for 20 years when I sold him a home style Violano.
He wanted it set up and playing just like mine; after that it seemed
like more and more restoration projects just kept coming.
He was known all over the world, handling instruments for large
collections and building up of well-known collections in the USA.
He was always a fun person to talk to and he had many stories and
lots of knowledge about these instruments.
Wolfgang will be missed and we pass our sympathy to Sandy, his wife,
and both their children.
