Jigs and Fixtures for Rebuilding Player Actions
By Daniel Bussell

Hello everyone, my first time posting! I have completed two upright
player rebuilds to date and have several more to do. In fact, the
next two are from the house of Baldwin line: Modello and Monarch.

I plan on doing more in the future beside my piano tuning and
rebuilding, so I'm wondering are there any jigs fixtures for gluing
the cloth on note pneumatics? Using hot hide glue, of course. Also,
the Baldwin type players use an inside valve facing of pouch leather
that is glued only to the backside of its metal backing plate. Any
suggestions speeding up that process while keeping consistent quality
results?

Many thanks,
Daniel Bussell - Mead Piano Works
