Seek Kimball Brass Damper Plates With Spring
By David Dewey

Hi all, I have a couple of Kimball player uprights with (of course!)
brass rails. The damper brass plates have the damper spring inserted
into them and (also, of course!) they are splitting at the screw hole.

The usual solution to just replace them has hit a snag: they are now
made of unobtainium -- the suppliers have discontinued them. The old
Schaff number was 539, in case you go by that. I need enough for two
pianos (132) or a work-around. And here I thought I had enough of
them stashed to last me my repair time. I wasn't aware they were
not available anymore from "the usual suspects" so wasn't ordering
replacements as I used mine. Oops... So, help me save a player from
the dump!

Thanks,
David Dewey
