Fifteen organs will be playing in the precincts of the 900+ year
old cathedral in Winchester on Monday, 4th May (a public holiday in
Britain) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Taking part are: a 1922 78-keyless
Ruth Fairground Concert Organ, a 1990 52-key Dutch Street organ,
a 1922 52-keyless Alfred Bruder organ, a 1904 49-key Marenghi
fairground organ, a rare Robert Hopp 27-keyless street organ, a 1878
Gebrueder Bruder barrel organ, as well as organs built by Raffin,
Carl Frei Jnr, Paul McCarthy and others.
This free event is supported by members of the Musical Box Society of
Great Britain, the Fair Organ Preservation Society, the British Organ
Grinders Association, and the Mechanical Organ Owners Society.
